Highlighted Review: Only Lovers Left Alive

Of the wide swath of films I had the pleasure to see at the New York Film Festival, my favorite was undoubtedly Jim Jarmusch's Only Lovers Left Alive. I positively swooned over Tilda Swinton and Tom Hiddleston as moody vampires exhausted by humanity's failure to progress beyond their petty concerns (mortality, religion, etc.) It's a movie about ennui and hanging out, and yet its deliciously and darkly funny. Beyond loving the film utterly, I'm very proud of the review it inspired.
